The Ida Lee collection is designed to appeal to both men and women, blending urban modernity, beauty, enchanted story and lineage. Each piece is inspired by a pocket chain my grandmother Ida Lee, commissioned for my grandfather. She created this chain with my grandfather's name as the links, so he wouldn’t loose his wallet, while flying airplanes all over the world.
I found my grandfather's pocket chain in his drawer years ago. Immediately I put it on my neck and wore it as a necklace. I've wanted to create custom pieces for others ever since.
This winter I met an incredible brilliant creator, Noel Shields, an experienced jewelry designer who's collections have sold at Barney's and Bergdorf's. Noel became my creative collaborator and she supercharged the idea and now it is a reality! My studio will be hand crafting each piece.
